Audit Associate

As an Audit Associate, you will support the planning and execution of financial audits for a variety of clients, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards. On a day-to-day basis, you will assist in preparing and reviewing workpapers, testing internal controls, and analyzing account balances and transactions. You will help prepare financial statements and related documentation, identify potential issues or variances, and communicate findings to senior team members. The role includes direct interaction with clients to gather information, clarify questions, and support audit completion within established timelines. This is a full-time, quasi on-site role based in Tyler, TX, requiring presence within a virtual office and on-site at client locations as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; progress toward CPA certification or interest in obtaining it is preferred.
  • Strong foundation in Accounting, with the ability to understand, prepare, and interpret core financial reports.
  • Experience or education in Auditing and Financial Audits, including familiarity with relevant standards and audit methodologies, is a plus.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, variances, and potential issues in financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and common accounting software; ability to learn firm-specific tools quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear documentation and professional client interaction.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a virtual and on-site environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to take direction, accept feedback, and contribute to a collaborative audit process.
